About private hire

You can hire Eversholt Lido for private parties for 1 or 2 hours.

Maximum of 60 people.

A Lifeguard will be on duty for the duration of the hire.

The Manager/ Trustee/ Lifeguard will arrange access to the pool.

Inflatables can be used, as long as it's safe. It's at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty. The fewer people in the pool, the more inflatables you'll be allowed! If you have 60 people you may not be able to have inflatables, or only small ones.

We only allow bookings with a minimum of 7 days notice on the website. If you want to book within the next 7 days it's possible we can accommodate you, please email us using the contact form below.

Terms of hire

When booking private hire online or in person, you agree to the terms and conditions below:

  • The hirer has exclusive right to use the pool and its facilities during the period of hire.
  • Use of the pool is at the hirer’s risk. Eversholt Swimming Pool charity cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to any individual or personal property.
  • No smoking anywhere on the pool premises.
  • No glasses or glass bottles in or around the pool or changing area.
  • No fireworks or loud music in the pool area or playing field.
  • Cancellations received 7 days before the booking can be rearranged to another date, no refunds available.
  • The manager and trustees have the right to cancel bookings if there are operational difficulties. Should this happen we will make every effort to offer an alternative date, or a full refund.

Full Terms & Conditions

General booking conditions

The pool is available for private hire subject to approval by
the Eversholt Swimming Pool Trustees.

  1. These terms and conditions form the basis of the Booking between the Hirer and Eversholt Swimming Pool (“the Pool”). The Terms and Conditions will not be varied except in writing and agreed by both parties.
  2. The Pool reserves the right to decline any Booking at any time without liability.
  3. All bookings must be made by an eligible Hirer; a solvent individual who must be older than 18 years, or unincorporated association or club, or UK Company, who shall be the contracting party for the purposes of the booking made with the Pool.
  4. Upon payment, the hirer is agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Hire fees and payments

  1. The hire fees are £160 for one hour, or £240 for 2 hours (booked together)
  2. Payment is due in full upon booking.
  3. In the event of inclement weather, provided the Pool is able to operate safely the pool will open for the hire, in its absolute discretion the Pool may agree to transfer the hire to a different date, but refunds will not be given.
  4. Hirers intending to charge guests for an activity at the Pool must obtain the agreement of the Pool to this before the hire agreement is made.

Liability and insurance

  1. To the fullest extent permitted by law the Pool shall not be liable for: (1) Any loss or damage to property of the Hirer or their guests. (2) Any inconvenience or loss caused to any party as a result of the Pool exercising its right to cancel the booking.
  2. The Pool have in place public liability insurance up to £5 million, a copy of which can be made available on request.
  3. The Hirer will conduct a risk assessment in respect of their event and will provide to the Pool full details of the risk assessment on request.
  4. In the event that the Pool in its absolute discretion, on receipt of the risk assessment, decides that additional insurance is deemed necessary the Hirer will arrange such insurance at their own cost the Hirer will provide to the Pool full details of the insurance obtained. If no such insurance is obtained the Pool reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Use of the pool

  1. A fully trained lifeguard will be on duty at all times. However, whilst a lifeguard may be on duty it is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that all users are supervised to the extent necessary.
  2. Hirers are responsible for their guests’ behaviour and rules regulations and reasonable requests made during the course of the hire by Pool staff must be adhered to. Hirers must
    ensure that there is an adult present at the pool at all times during the period of hire.
  3. No person may enter the pool under the influence of alcohol or drugs and nor may alcohol or drugs (save for those required for a medical condition) be brought onto the premises.
  4. No child under 12 may enter the pool without an adult in attendance.
  5. The maximum number of users who may be in the pool at any time is 60.
  6. The Pool reserves the right to ask any person to leave the water or the premises.
  7. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the premises.
  8. The Hirer is responsible for any wilful or negligent loss and/or damage to the Pool furniture and equipment. Any costs of making good any damage will be charged to the Hirer.
  9. Health and safety incidents or accidents are to be reported to the lifeguard on duty.
  10. No notices or decorations are to be attached to the buildings railings etc. without the prior agreement of the Pool (agreement will not normally be refused for decorations for birthdays etc). All, such notice or decorations must be removed by the Hirer.
  11. The Hirer has an obligation to tell all guests about these terms and conditions in respect of the use of the Pool and ensure that they comply with them.
  12. The Hirer must ensure that no guest has a medical condition making him or her unfit to enter the pool.
  13. The Hirer will not have access to the office at the Pool.

Access and setup

  1. The Hirer must arrive and vacate by the times booked. Failure to adhere to the agreed times may incur additional charges. Hirers needing to spend time before their hire to set up, for example for parties, are asked to notify the Pool in advance.
  2. The Hirer must ensure that any equipment brought onto the pool premises for use is safe, (including PAT testing of any electronic equipment), and the Pool reserves the right to refuse the use any equipment.
  3. The Hirer must ensure that any of the Hirers property brought onto the pool premises is cleared by the end of the booked time. Failure to comply with this may result in the Pool disposing of property and charging the Hirer for any expenses incurred.

Amendment and cancellation

  1. All bookings are non-refundable.
  2. The Pool will acknowledge receipt of all amendments/cancellations/terminations in writing to the Hirer indicating whether the amendment/cancellation/termination has been accepted.
  3. In the event of a full or partial cancellation of a confirmed booking by the Hirer less than 30 days prior to the event, cancellation charges of 100% of the hire costs will apply, plus any additional charges that have been incurred by the Pool in respect of the booking.
  4. If a confirmed booking is postponed, transfer of the booking may be agreed at the sole discretion of the Pool.
  5. The Pool properly and reasonably reserves the right to cancel or terminate in whole or in part any booking at any time and for any reason. Any such amendment/cancellation/termination shall be without prejudice to any right of action of the Pool in respect of non-payment or any breach of the terms and conditions.
  6. If the Pool is unable to wholly or substantially to perform its obligations to the Hirer, the Pool will notify the Hirer accordingly and will refund or transfer the booking.
